The Big Island is the youngest and the largest island of Hawaii. Reach the peak before sunset, so as the sun goes down and the sky grows darker, you can experience the magical view of the millions of stars starting to uncover themselves in front of your eyes. Keep your eyes stuck to a telescope if you want to get to know the stars better. 3. Experience the View of Waipi’o Valley

The Waipi’o Valley is home to many legends, and the view of the valley from the viewpoint is truly incredible. However, for the true explorers, only the distant view will not be enough. 4. See the Green Sand at Papakolea Beach

With only four green sand beaches present in the whole world, visiting the Papakolea Beach is one of the most unique things that you will do in your lifetime. This extremely unique beach comprises of sand which is not golden, white or even black. In fact, the sand that you encounter at this beach is green. Situated in a dry, barren landscape, the green coloured beach with its turquoise blue waters create a breathtaking view. Reaching the beach is not easy, as you have to go for a pretty long hike before you can experience this beautiful place, but the sheer uniqueness makes it a must visit attraction in Big Island.
